Winners of the Paul Pholeros Architecture Scholarship 2023

Once again there was a very interesting range of topics and interests expressed in the PP Architecture Scholarship submissions. We thank all who applied and hope you will continue to pursue your passions.

The PPF is very happy to announce the PPAS 2023 winners: Isabella Reynolds from New South Wales and Michi Playford from ACT.

Isabella Reynolds.   Soft Spaces: Designing for pain in the public realm.

Isabella’s research will explore the role of public buildings, particularly freely accessible cultural institutions, in providing reprieve spaces for people experiencing pain in daily life. Isabella works at Sibling Architecture.

 

Michi Playford.   Cohousing as a solution to improve health and living conditions in Australia.

Michi will use her analysis of exemplar cohousing communities located across Australia to develop a cohousing framework planning tool for Architects and designers. Michi works at Light House Architecture and Science.
