PPF’s partner Dhulikhel Hospital is struggling to address the needs of increasing COVID cases. Another of the hospital’s partners, Globemed at the University of Berkeley, California, has set up a fundraiser for oxygen cylinders and PPE. Prem and Kanchimaya and family continue to help the Bhattedanda villagers, this time with food, soap and hygiene items. Sadly there have been more COVID deaths in all 3 villages supported by PP’s sanitation programs.

Grant, PPF Board member, and Taylor working to bring together the handwashing unit prototype. Not long before the PPF can send specs to Nepal. Allowing for easing of the current severe lockdown restrictions there, tough times again, like the Maoist times but without the weapons and violence.

PP continues to shine his light… The PPF is fine tuning the development of the handwashing unit, and hatching a couple of new project ideas. Watch this space. Whilst reaching out to our friends and colleagues in Nepal. The porous border with India has led to alarming increases in COVID numbers in Nepal, challenging again fragile health systems and the population’s willingness to comply with imposed protection and safety measures.
