The portable hand wash unit prototype has been trialled in the remote hills of Sindhupalchok district. Bishnu and his team conducted several days of dental outreach camps which afforded the opportunity to trial the unit.
It was given a good workout including a long dusty and bumpy trip in the back of the team’s jeep. It survived well, and the PPF team has reviewed its design and performance. The Nepali team will tweak the design and build, after which we’ll fabricate 3 more units for further trialling and evaluation in various community settings in Nepal.
Bravo to Bishnu our coordinator extraordinaire, Triratna the carpenter extraordinaire, all the support skills and supply folks in Nepal and the Australian team. Namaste!
