Winners of the Paul Pholeros Architecture Scholarship 2023

Once again there was a very interesting range of topics and interests expressed in the PP Architecture Scholarship submissions.

The two PPAS 2023 winners were Michi Playford from ACT and Isabella Reynolds from New South Wales.

Michi Playford.   Cohousing as a solution to improve health and living conditions in Australia.

Michi used her analysis of exemplar cohousing communities located across Australia to develop a cohousing framework planning tool for Architects and designers.

Isabella Reynolds.   Soft Spaces: Designing for pain in the public realm.

Isabella’s research studied the role of public buildings, particularly freely accessible cultural institutions, in providing reprieve spaces for people experiencing pain in daily life.
